Molly and Matt were married Oct 4, 2008 in Mantachie, MS. I absolutely loved this wedding! Molly designed most everything herself for the wedding decor and reception. This is Davis. I really enjoyed photographing this sweet little boy. He had to be the happiest 12 month old I think I have ever captured. Jessica + Taylor

Jessica and Taylor were recently married at the Chapel on MUW campus. The reception was at Waverly Waters. Everything was so beautiful. Although, I have to tell you...I really BUSTED my butt to get great images at this wedding, LOL. NO JOKE, I fell down the brick stairs inside the chapel with a camera in each hand. Yes, it hurt really really bad, but it was all worth it. :) I could hardly walk the next day and I was bruised black and blue from my pinky toe all the way up to my elbows. I have photographed many weddings at that chapel and I really believe someone has fallen every time I have been there...I guess it was just my turn. Anyway, here is a collection of some of my favorites from Jessica and Taylor's wedding. :)

Little Man Si...

I have had the privilege and opportunity to photograph Si Thomas since he was 6 weeks old. I just recently did a session with Si and goodness, he has really grown up into a little man. He has the sweetest personality and I loved capturing all of his expressions. It took a while for him to come out of his shy shell but when he finally did, he was such a funny kid. :) thank you, Nicole, for allowing me to photograph Si again...

This is Amie and Jim, they were married in August at Mt. Vernon Place in Tupelo, MS. I so loved this venue. By far one of my favorites so far for weddings.
I sincerely enjoyed and LOVED shooting this wedding. Amie was by far the most excited bride I think i have ever had the opportunity to shoot. :) She was sincerely so happy on her wedding day and it shows in her pictures. She was also a very fun and carefree bride to document. Thank you, Amie and Jim for allowing me to be a part of your special day; I really did enjoy capturing all of the emotions of your wedding day. :)

Brooke Weseli~Senior Session...

Friday, I had a senior session with Brooke. She was so excited and so was I. She wanted to do something different and she certainly got what she asked for, LOL. While taking photos out by the railroad track... a train actually came along and even stopped so we got some really cool pics with the train. It helps to have a husband who works for the railroad.:) Thanks Scott for stopping that day! Then, about an hour into shooting, it started to rain. So, we decided to just have fun and do a "trash the dress" session in the rain. I loved doing this senior shoot, it was a blast. Except for the part when i pulled my back out...but oh well, it was worth it. :) Since it rained, we will finish Brooke's session later this fall.

A Random Beach Session...

While on vacation with my family in Panama City Beach this past July, I ran into my friend, Bobbie Sue, at the Pier Park. She asked me if I would be doing any beach sessions while I was down at the beach. I had not planned on it because I really did not know anyone that was going to be down there the same time that we would be there this year besides Hannah's teammates for the World Series. Anyway, she asked if I would do a beach session with her and her boys and I, of course, said absolutely. I managed to get a couple photo's of my girls too after the session. Now, the girls are not dressed in the usual attire for beach sessions, but any of you who know me, you know that I could care less. LOL... I am happy as long as I can periodically capture all 3 of them in the same frame. :)

This is Katrina and Konrad, their wedding was at the Chapel on Columbus Air Force Base. I really enjoyed photographing this wedding and I had a lot of great photo opportunities. This is Lauren and Brandon. They were married this summer in Columbus, MS at Fairview Baptist Church. I have known Lauren and her family for a long time and I was very honored and excited when Lauren asked me to photograph her wedding! All summer long...

an update on what the kids did this summer.
They played softball ALL summer long!
Between me photographing weddings and the girls playing softball tournaments every weekend, we did not have one free weekend all summer :)
Hannah played 12U Fastpitch this summer with the MS Eclipse and Kiley played 8U Coach Pitch in Propst Park. Kiley also made the All-Star team, so she played on the New Hope Lil Southern Babes, too. Hannah played in 8 tournaments from Tunica to Gulfport and many places in between. Then she played in the USFA World Series in Panama City, FL. Kiley played in 2 tournaments, one in Columbus and the second one was the State Coach Pitch tournament in Jackson. They both played very good this summer and Stephen and I are so proud of both of them. Hannah mostly played 1st base, 3rd base and pitched every now and then. Kiley played 1st base all summer. Sydney, our little trooper, just tagged along and was her big sisters greatest little fan all summer long! :) Here are some snapshots of the my girls doing what they love...

Kiley LOVED her coaches. This is Kiley with Coach Wayne Ellis, Coach Wayne was my softball coach for at least 10 years. Gosh, how time flies! We love Coach Wayne! The other picture is Kiley with Coach Linsey Upton. Linsey graduated from New Hope this year and helped us out all year. She was the pitcher for Kiley's team. Kiley really admires and looks up to Linsey!

This is probably one of my favorite images from this summer. Coach Wayne is an excellent fundamental coach and taught me just about everything I know about softball. One of his everyday quotes is "Always throw the ball to the glove side" Well, in this image that is exactly what he is telling Kiley. I just love it!!

This one is for my dear blogger friend Jill. Her daughter, Anna Kate, played coach pitch with Kiley all summer. I thought she might like this picture of Miss Anna Kate. :)

This next set of snapshots are of Hannah. She played really hard all summer and I think she has improved in so many ways!!

These last 2 images are of Hannah's last time at bat during the World Series. It was the last inning, we were losing and there were 2 outs. Hannah had not been hitting very well and I was just praying that she could just get a good hit her last at bat. Well... she got an awesome line drive smash hit to right field! What a way to end the season, she was so excited!

Chase + Whitney

This is Chase and Whitney. They were married this summer at Kolola Springs Baptist Church in Caledonia. I found out while photographing the wedding that Chase's father works with my husband on the railroad. Stephen, of course, already knew this but somehow forgot to tell me. :) I really enjoyed photographing this wedding and I just loved capturing all of Whitney's expressions. She was a beautiful bride, too!

Well I am back from a much needed vacation... Back to the real world, ugh!! The kids start school on August 6th so that will be a good thing for me, I will be able to get a lot more done around here. They are actually ready to go back, too! I never wanted to start back to school when I was a kid, probably one of the reason I have never had a desire to be a teacher. May God always bless those who put up with my children and teach them 8 hours everyday :)I really do appreciate teachers. Anyway, i am babbling... i will be posting some more weddings here in the next few days so continue to check my blog for more photos.

So, this is my busiest time of the year and I know I have been slacking about posting on the blog. Between weddings and ball tournaments every weekend... I seem to have very limited time these days. Let's not forget that all three of my kids are at home with me for the summer, too, since school is out. :) Anyway, on with the posting of images, that is what most of you who view my blog want to see, right?

This is Lindsey Easley... she wanted to do her bridal portraits out at her mom's house and antique store. Her mother is Pam Easley and she owns Three Sisters Antiques out in Caledonia. Check it out sometime if you have never been there!!

Busy, Busy, Busy....

Okay... i know it has been a really long time since i last posted to my blog and i am sorry for the delay. I have really been way busy the past several weeks. That is a good thing but I really didn't think i would be this busy until later on into Spring. :) I have several new sessions i will be posting as i gradually get them proofed so keep checking back for updates.

Two weeks ago, I met up with Lauren Hester and Brandon Garriga for a Love Story Session. I am also shooting their upcoming wedding the end of May. I loved shooting this session... they both were a blast to hang out with. I have known Lauren for a long time now but i did not really know Brandon until meeting him this day. Lauren is a 5th grade school teacher at New Hope and Brandon is in medical school in Jackson. They are the sweetest couple and are so cute with each other. We mostly laughed the entire session as you can see in the pictures because Brandon kept saying things like, "Yeah, this is so natural...we do this gazing into each others eyes everyday" I guess you had to be there. I think this was the best Love Story Session i have ever had the opportunity to shoot and i can not wait to shoot the upcoming wedding. I know it will be a blast, too!

Just an update on my website... all the kinks are being worked out finally!! Everything within my site should be back to normal by the end of this week. As you can see, my website is not working right now. I have been in the process of updating my website for 2008 and in doing so, i have changed web hosting companies. My site is in the process of being switched over so it may take up to 72 hours before it is accessible again. I will keep everyone posted. The Bridal Fair and Papa Roach...

Im laughing at my blog title because the two just do not go together. LOL!

I attended the WCBI bridal fair on Sat. 01/26/08 and i met with 2 other incredible photographers from columbus...well i already knew Chris, i just did not know he was going to be at the bridal fair. Any who, i met with Chris Jenkins - Memory Makers Photography and Renee Reedy - Renee Reedy Photography and i just have to say they are very talented and the 2 coolest vendors that i hung out with that entire day. We all 3 got along great and i can not wait to meet up with them again soon!! Check out their websites and see for yourself...

On another note, i was going through some old files trying to clean my computer up and came across Jacoby's family session (Lead singer for the band PAPA ROACH) that i shot soon after Hurricane Katrina. I still can not believe that I actually had the opportunity to photograph a celebrity. I loved this family, though. They are so down to earth and a real pleasure to be around. Their children are just the cutest little boys sporting those baby Mohawks!

William Bronner Burgess

I had wanted to post about this on my blog earlier in the week... but I could not stop my emotions long enough to get through it. SO... This tragic event has been one of the biggest blessings in my life over the past several days. I am a big fan of the Rick and Bubba Show and listen always if i am in the car in the mornings. When i heard of Bronner's death and Rick and his family's loss on Monday, i just could not process my thoughts. I listened to the show yesterday morning and cried to the point that i could hardly see to drive, but it was not tears of sadness. It was more tears of JOY and a sense of peace to know that I have such an AWESOME FATHER in Heaven, and knowing that my loved ones that have passed on ... My Papaw and Bronner are with him now, just puts a big ole smile in my heart! As i listened to Rick speak at his son's memorial service, i was just overcome with such emotion. I know that it was the power of my GOD speaking to me through Rick. I did not get to listen to the entire show but what i did get to listen to has sincerely been a blessing to me. We are all sinful in our flesh and let Satan get the best of us sometime and i just want to say that Rick and God are winning the battle, because through this i have had, what i call, a "good ole coming to JESUS" meeting. I know that i have truly been touched by the hand of GOD. I hope each one of you who are reading this will visit the website and listen and "Keep Up The Fight"... William Bronner Burgess

My Baby Brother and 2007 High School Seniors...

Well, today I was going through all of my files from 2007 and decided I would put together a slideshow of all of the seniors that I photographed in 2007. For those of you who know me pretty well, already know that my "baby brother" Brent Hallmark graduated last May :(... I am still trying to get over that. First, because time goes by so quick and Baby Brent is not a baby anymore and second, it means that i am simply getting old!!! In the slideshow below you'll see different shots of all the high school seniors that I photographed in 2007, some graduated last May and some will graduate this May. If you pay close attention you might even catch a glimpse of me in there somewhere; this is a rare opportunity since i always tend to stay behind the camera, LOL!! Well here it is January and i find myself trying to catch up with everything that needs to be done while my business is slow... Let's see? We finally moved into our new house over the holiday break and we are just loving it, the kids do not know what to do with all the space they now have. Of course, they all have their own rooms but guess what? Yep, they all end up in our room...right underneath Stephen and me like always. I guess that hasn't changed, well to be honest, i kinda hope that it doesn't... they grow up way too fast! OK, Back to my photography business... i am in the process of updating my website so that i will have a totally separate site dedicated to just weddings. I will be attending the WCBI Bridal Fair here in Columbus on 01/26/08. I am looking forward to it since it will be my first time to be a part of it. I will be making several new changes to my website and pricing this month, so be sure to look for all the new updates starting next month. Below this blog entry is a new slideshow program that i will be using for the blog. I hope to post most of my recent sessions this way for my clients. Well, I finally did it! I have attempted my first blog post, LOL!

Chris Ellis... i hope you are proud of me :) I hope to continue posting my most recent sessions to this blog so that i can keep everyone more informed.
